The Sabah State Farmers Organization (PPNS) has filed a complaint with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) and a police report regarding the failure of the National Farmers Organization (NAFAS) to pay off debts exceeding RM2 million. These debts include the rent for a steel warehouse and payments for supply and delivery work involving steel to NAFAS members across Malaysia. The PPNS suspects that NAFAS officials deliberately delayed the payment process due to personal interests. In addition to reporting the case to SPRM and PDRM, PPNS has requested federal intervention to ensure NAFAS addresses the outstanding debts, and to prioritize projects that benefit farmers. PPNS also seeks equal treatment with other related organizations on the peninsula, in line with the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (MA63).
